Public Health Dental Officer (1)
Description

The Public Health Dental Officer will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, promoting oral health education, and developing policies and programs to improve oral health at both facility and community levels.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions in patients at the health facility.
  • Develop and implement community-based oral health programs.
  • Conduct school and community outreach programs to promote oral hygiene awareness.
  • Provide preventive and curative dental healthcare services.
  • Conduct research on oral health issues and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor junior dental staff and students on attachment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma in Public Health Dental or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Licensing: Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in public health dentistry.
