Overview

At our Maternity Department, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for women at all stages of pregnancy and beyond. Our maternity ward is divided into two specialized sections: Obstetrics and Gynecology, ensuring comprehensive and focused care for all our patients.

Obstetrics

The Obstetrics unit caters to women from 26 weeks of pregnancy up to 6 weeks after delivery. Our services are designed to support both mother and baby through this crucial period with the highest standards of medical care and compassion.

Services Offered:

  • Delivery Services: Expert care for vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring safe and healthy births.
  • Treatment of Pregnancy-Related Diseases: Management and treatment of conditions that can affect pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.
  • Antenatal Care: Regular check-ups and monitoring to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby throughout pregnancy.
  • Postnatal Care: Comprehensive care and support for mothers and their newborns during the critical weeks following delivery.
  • Postnatal care for Newborns after too short pregnancy period and/or with a very low birth weight are admitted at the Neonatal Intensive Unit of Aber hospital

Gynecology

The Gynecology unit focuses on women up to 26 weeks of pregnancy and addresses a wide range of conditions affecting the female reproductive system. Our dedicated team provides expert care and advanced treatments to support women’s health and reproductive well-being.

Services Offered:

  • Management of Early Pregnancy: Care and monitoring for pregnancies up to 26 weeks.
  • Gynecological Disease Treatment: Diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the female reproductive organs, such as endometriosis, fibroids, and ovarian cysts.
  • Surgical Services: Gynecological surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures, to treat various conditions.
  • Family Planning: Comprehensive family planning services, including contraceptive advice and solutions.
  • Abortion and Post-Abortion Care: Safe and supportive services for abortion and post-abortion care, ensuring women’s health and well-being.
  • Fertility Services: Assistance and treatment for women experiencing fertility issues, including consultations and advanced reproductive technologies.
  • Cervical Cancer Screening: Early detection and treatment of cervical cancer through regular screenings and follow-up care.
