St. John XXIII Hospital Aber is inviting reputable and qualified Audit Firms to submit bids for the provision of External Audit Services for the financial year ending 2025/2026 and the subsequent two financial years.
Scope of Work
The appointed External Auditor will be required to:
- Conduct an independent examination of the hospital’s financial statements for the specified period(s) to express an audit opinion on their fairness, accuracy, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assess the hospital’s systems of internal control and provide a Management Letter detailing any material weaknesses and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Uganda.
- Provide timely audit reports to the Hospital Board and Management.
Mandatory Requirements (Technical Proposal)
Interested Audit Firms must submit a Technical Proposal that clearly demonstrates:
- Firm’s Profile: Registration documents and legal status in Uganda.
- Relevant Experiences: Detailed profile of the firm, including experience in auditing Hospital or Healthcare Institutions.
- Key Personnel: CVs and professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) of the engagement partner and key team members.
- Methodology: A clear and concise proposed audit approach and work plan.
Submission Requirements (Financial Proposal)
A separate, sealed Financial Proposal detailing the professional fees for the three-year audit engagement must be submitted.
